Top 10 Survival Kits (...And Why Everyone Should Have One)

lifegear-wings-of-life-backpack.jpg I saw this on CNN yesterday...

It was a summary of some of the best survival gear and survival kits for those who enjoy the great outdoors.

In light of the heroic, yet tragic, story of James Kim, it only makes sense to keep items like these on your person whenever you go out & about. (Even if you only keep them in the trunk of your car.)

The LifeGear company is a new consumer brand predicated upon providing families and individuals with optimal emergency and disaster preparedness products specifically designed to provide practical and effective survival solutions.

Their motto is this:
Peace of mind, wherever you go.

Whether that peace is in your own mind when you're out & about, or in the minds of your loved ones who might be worrying about you when you're away from home... survival kits like these could make all the difference in how quickly help reaches you and whether or not you survive at all.

Life+Gear provides high-quality products to help you and your family prepare for emergencies, whether at home, at work, or out having fun.

Hi Lynnette,

I received a great backpack survival kit from my kids for Christmas and I thought that I would pass the information about where they bought it on to you. I was so impressed with the quality of this kit that I decided to do some research about survival kits on my own. I found that many of the kits out there on the market don't have enough water and that the items in some of the packs very so much. There are a lot of kits out there that have things that most people would not need or use such as fishing line with hooks, etc. Also most kits have flashlights that need batteries. The kit I received had 12 cartons of water 2 - 2400 calorie food bars and a squeeze charging flashlight. Anyway, the two person "Deluxe" kit came from www.survivalkitsonline.com . I wrote them an email to tell them how much I like their product and they sent me a coupon code for a discount if I wanted to buy something from their store. All in all I give them and the kit an A+.
Thanks for listening and thanks for a great blog site, Barry
