It is NASA's Archived Photo Of The Day or APOD.
From this link, you can check out more than 10 years worth of fantastic photos.
Some of the photos need a bit of an explanation because they are pretty "far out!" Well, NASA thought of that, and you'll find a few words describing the photo each day.
APOD has photos of planets, galaxies, the space shuttle, comets, eclipses and much, much more.
