Here are 4 fun craft ideas using autumn leaves…

What you need:

  • Artificial or real autumn leaves
  • Clear contact adhesive paper
  • Hole punch
  • Ribbon for hanging – reds, oranges, greens and yellows work well.

How to do it:

  • Place one sheet of the contact paper, face up, on the table.
  • Arrange autumn leaves in a pattern on the contact paper, being certain that they are entirely on the paper. It is fine if the leaves overlap. Be certain to leave some space so the sun can shine through.
  • Lay the second sheet of contact adhesive paper face down onto the first sheet, aligning the edges as close as possible. The leaves are now sealed between the 2 sheets of contact paper.
  • Press the contact adhesive paper together firmly. A rolling pin works great for this.
  • Smooth out all air bubbles.
  • Trim edges as necessary.
  • Using the hole punch, make a hole in the top center of the suncatcher.
  • Thread ribbon through the hole, tie it, and make a loop for hanging.
  • Place the suncatcher in a window and enjoy.

TIP: You can also make a bookmark using this same method. Cut contact adhesive paper in the shape and size desired, and use smaller leaves.
